Our Mission
Burma, now officially known as Myanmar, is a country located in the South-East section of Asia. Burma is a beautiful country. The land is filled with grand mountains, vast plains, and surrounded by the Pacific along its entire Southern border. The people are defined by their kindness and generosity. With any of the multitude of ethnic groups present in Burma, you are greeted with a smile and treated as if you were at home.​​
Despite their beauty, the people of Burma have been suffering for a long time. The country's official military regime has led an oppressive government for the last seventy years. Protesters are silenced through violence, even to the point of death. Thousands have been imprisoned for their resistance against the tyranny. Three years ago, the country has erupted into war as the people fight for their freedom. ​
In the midst of this was, millions have been displaced and entire villages have been destroyed. Further, without governmental support, the impact of recent natural disasters has been exacerbated. The people of Burma are in dire need of assistance. They have fought for their human rights on their own, but have yet to receive the support they deserve. Our mission to provide this support through any means we can.​​
Rebuilding
The civil war in Myanmar has ravaged even peaceful remote villages. Millions of people have been internally displaced leaving them without access to infrastructure for schools . We work with people on-ground to rebuild this essential resources in IDP camps so that children can continue their education.
Many children have been left on their own as a result of the conflict. Well Burma has supported the founding and continuance of orphanages throughout the country.
Spurring Growth
Well Burma is also looking ahead. In addition to working on-ground, we are working with organizations that support the children of Myanmar virtually in ensuring their success. They deserve the opportunity to decide their own futures. The first step in making this happen is a quality education.
